Institute for Information Industry (III) was founded in 1979 to integrate public and private resources to promote and enrich Taiwan's internet, ICT industry and information society. The business focuses of III include industrial upgrades, application promotions, R&D, IT Professionals Cultivation, and ICT infrastructure. III has played a pivotal role in Taiwan's transformation from a hardware-driven society into one of the leading software, webware societies in the world, and will continue to shape Taiwan's information technology and internet policies and develop ICT industry and society in the years to come.
