- uControl delivers the first home-security service that keeps people truly connected. The uControl Link connects to existing alarm systems and communicates status over three redundant connections (cellular, broadband and phone line). In addition to delivering always-on connectivity and real-time security, uControl enables consumers to control and monitor their alarm systems from mobile devices or the Web. uControl’s solution couples self-installation and online management with the traditional ability to dispatch police and fire emergency services from licensed monitoring centers.

- Parks Associates reports that there are 21 million alarm-monitored homes, representing $5 billion in annual recurring revenues. There are an additional 6 million homes with unmonitored systems, representing a $1 billion opportunity. Of this installed base, 80% have broadband and nearly 15% use only VoIP or cellular instead of traditional phone lines.
