Product Description
The Linux-based PostPath Email and Collaboration Server is the only Microsoft Exchange alternative to natively support Exchange network protocols, delivering drop-in compatibility with unmodified Outlook desktops, Active Directory and already-deployed Exchange infrastructure. PostPath’s server enables enterprise customers to get the best of both worlds, combining unique support for drop-in compatibility with open-source technologies such as AJAX web-client access; efficient, high-availability, standards-based backup and restore; high-volume MTA processing and low-cost commodity storage.
Market Opportunity
The Radicati Group forecasts the annual revenue for corporate-messaging software to grow from $2.5 billion in 2006 to $3.3 billion in 2009. Despite this growth and maturity, Matt Cain, Vice President of Research for Gartner, recently commented, “CIOs still feel constant pressure from the business to deliver a reliable email system, while reducing operational costs.”
DEMO Says
One product sits at the heart of enterprise communications and collaboration, saddling business with a single-vendor risk around its most mission-critical application. Unseating Microsoft Exchange is a difficult and perhaps undesirable task. Instead, businesses need a solution that can peacefully co-exist with the dominant player. The PostPath Email and Collaboration Server is that solution. It remains fully compatible while reducing risk and opening new possibilities for open communications applications.
