Product Description
i-Lighter’s online patent-pending technology transfers real-world skills to the Internet. Using the familiar metaphor of a yellow highlighter, it allows users of all levels to select and automatically save data and images and to add post-it notes directly to any Web page. This collected information can be organized, searched (privately or communally), emailed, posted to blogs and inserted into open documents. i-Lighter tames the Internet’s dizzying array of data with tools to collect, organize, share and use it.
Market Opportunity
The PEW Internet & American Life project estimates that more than 70% of American adults are using the Internet for work or personal use. This captured user base is the ideal platform for a consumer-oriented, contextual advertising-supported service, as well as a client-based enterprise opportunity.
DEMO Says
This really simple tool turns a cursor into a highlighter, enabling you to collect, organize and act upon browser-based data. This product stands out among Internet data collection tools because it is extremely flexible and supports a range of models for putting collected information to work.

i-Lighter released i-Lighter 2.1 incorporating Twitterlights. With Twitterlights, users of the trend-setting Twitter micro-blogging service can instantly send snippets of Web content to dozens, hundreds, even thousands Twitter users with a single click of their mouse. Using i-Lighter 2.1’s new Twitterlights capability couldn’t be easier. Once i-Lighter 2.1 is downloaded and installed in your Internet Explorer or Firefox browser, simply highlight any Web content, open a right-context menu, and then select “Twitter This!” Type in your Tweet! (any message of 140 characters or less), enter your Twitter ID and password, hit “Send” and you’re done. The i-Lighted content will appear as a tiny URL which will simultaneously open in a HTML page and also be saved into your i-Lighter account for later retrieval. As with all Twitter micro-blog messages, Twitterlights allows users to send a Tweet! to anyone who has signed up to receive them. Twitter micro-blogs can be received via the Twitter Web site as well as through instant message, SMS, RSS, or email.
