- Product Description
- Intelligent Cross-Sell (ICS) helps retailers identify and cross-sell complementary products, such as the best accessories for a notebook computer. ICS works like a good salesperson thinks: Is this accessory compatible? Is it by a featured manufacturer? Is it popular? Profitable? Retailers can target cross-sells by these and many other factors. Based on the targeting, ICS selects, delivers and measures the resulting cross-sells — allowing retailers to sell more by providing customers with better choices.
- Market Opportunity
- In consumer electronics alone, accessory sales are an $11 billion business; moreover, the average consumer electronics accessory is three times as profitable as the parent product. With this combination of volume and profitability, any increase in cross-selling effectiveness has substantial bottom-line impact for retailers.
- DEMO Says
- Behind the CNET you see on the Web is a massive information clearinghouse about all things technology. It's that information base that this smart project taps to deliver a superior up- and cross-selling system. By applying simple rules to products in inventory, this system identifies the right cross-sell items (it’ll never suggest a travel bag too small to fit your new laptop, for example) and automates this critical — and currently laborious — merchandizing function.
